Just over a year ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It came as a surprise — although my doctor had warned me earlier, I didn’t expect it to happen so soon. I’ve always led an active lifestyle, but after the diagnosis, I adopted an even more disciplined routine.
During a follow-up appointment, my family doctor asked about the trends in my blood pressure and glucose levels. Due to some short-term memory issues, I could only recall my most recent readings. On my way home, I kept thinking: There must be an app that can log this information easily.
As soon as I got home, I started searching. There were plenty of apps out there, but none really met my expectations. Most were cluttered with annoying ads. But that wasn’t the only issue — I couldn’t find a single app that offered meaningful insights into my health data.
So I thought — why not build something better? An app with no ads, smart analytics, and alerts based on trends. Still, that idea alone didn’t fully convince me to start building it. Manually entering blood pressure requires at least three values: systolic, diastolic, and pulse — plus a timestamp. Would people actually take the time to input all that? Especially when many with chronic conditions like diabetes aren’t always tech-savvy.

But here’s one thing almost everyone can do — snap a picture.
What if we could just let users take a photo of their monitor, and let AI handle the rest?
That was the turning point.
And that’s how Wellsnap was born — an app that lets you capture your blood pressure and glucose readings simply by snapping a photo. It also includes insights, trends, medication reminders, and most importantly, no ads.
We’ve even included enough free photo captures so you can try it without paying anything.
